gaudi, gaudi, gaudi...today we went to see all the works in barcelona designed by the architect gaudi. 

in the morning we walked to the houses(casas) that he designed that are located right on the same street with normal shops and apartment buildings. the houses are incredibly unique. the first one curves along the corner of the street with these strange, almost eerie, wrought iron balconies while the ground floor is just as mysterious as it looks as if you are entering into a cave. the other casa which was just down the street on the opposite side has the same style, but is much more playful. the entire front facade has mosaics of different shades of sea glassesque colors, bright blues and greens that even manage to sparkle. this house is more comical and simply breathtaking. as with all of gaudi's designs, they are so different, innovative, creative, funky and gorgeous.
