we stopped in bologna, italy on our way to rome and stayed just a night because we were not impressed. this small city was not what we expected instead it was a dirty, grimy, nothing really happening kind of place. we explored and ended up in weird places so we said to ourselves let's get the heck out of here and head to rome early.
