the next gaudi masterpiece and probably the greatest is his la segrada familia, a huge and very famous cathedral in barcelona. this architectural marvel was started in 1882 and is projected to be completed in 2020. it is a quintessential gaudi design with strange curves, intricate details and an overall eccentric style. the cathedral looms over you as this incredibly impressive and overwhelmingly bizarre/fantastical work of art. gaudi even took into consideration the tippity top part of his minarets by adorning them with brightly colored and textural shapes. in every crevice and dark corner there is something different to look at. one specific detail is the enormous gree tree with doves all around it. as you circle the entire building it looks different from every angle. this was probably one of the most amazing architectural places i've ever been able to visit. from there the impressiveness of gaudi only continued.
